Kalin Lomas, Co-President
This is Kalin’s second year as President. She has a first and fifth grader at NBS. One of Kalin’s favorite PTO sponsored events is Gallery Night. She loves seeing how proud the kids are showing off their artwork and it’s also a great time to connect with parents. In the mornings you can find Kalin at Burn Boot Camp and at night she’ll most likely be at No Wake. If Kalin can have a lifetime supply of anything, spicy margaritas and burts bees chapstick are at the top of the list.
Lisa Neyfeldt, Co-President
This is Lisa’s second year on the board and is excited to be co-president. She has three kids; a 4th grader, 3rd grade and a Kindergartner at NBS. Her favorite PTO event is field day. It is so fun to share in the excitement with the kids, it is a fun filled day! She loves being outdoors with her family especially at the lake and watching her boys play sports. She enjoys playing tennis, paddle boarding and a chopped salad on the beach at Lindy’s Landing with friends.
Beth Christensen, Vice President of Fundraising
This is Beth’s 3rd and final year serving as VP of Fundraising. Beth has twin boys who will be in 5th grade this upcoming year. Her favorite PTO events are the holiday boutique and the book fair because it’s so much fun to see how excited the kids are when they see a store in their school! She loves spending time with her family and friends on the beach (especially when they travel to Maine for a week in the summers), in her vegetable garden, and cooking. This year she is especially looking forward to working with Vanessa Hacker as her Co-VP!!
Vanessa Hacker, Co-Vice President of Fundraising
Vanessa has a daughter in 3rd grade and a son in 1st, and this is her first year on the PTO Board. In addition to PTO, she is so excited to be involved as a Girl Scout Troop Leader, RC, and part of the Book Fair team. Her favorite events are the Book Fair and Family Movie Night because it is so fun to see all the families come together. In her free time, Vanessa loves to cook, spend time with family and friends, take in any dance or theater performance she can find, cuddle up with a good book, or plan her family’s next trip (which often involves Disney!)
Elisabeth Fries, Co-Vice President of Service
Elisabeth is serving this year as a Co-VP of Service. She has two kids at NBS (1st and 4th grade) and an infant. Her favorite PTO event is gallery night because she loves looking at all the masterpieces the students have created throughout the year. Elisabeth enjoys spending time outdoors and attending her children’s extracurricular events. Elisabeth is a proud graduate of BHS.
Ashley Samz, Co-Vice President of Service
Ashley has a 4th grader and Kindergartner at NBS and this will be her first year serving on the PTO board. Her favorite PTO events are Staff Appreciation Week and Field Day. Ashley loves playing board games with her kids, finding and cooking new recipes, and relaxing with a nice glass of red wine.
Jackie Kardesh, Vice President of Family Outreach
This will be Jackie’s 6th year on the PTO board. She has a sixth grader, and a fifth and first grader at NBS. Jackie is the host and the happiest at the NBS Fall Family Flick event and adores helping at the book fair. She has a vegetable garden and she loves making homemade salsas, sauces, pickles, and grew over 500 pumpkins last year.
Sarah Amiran, Vice President of Special Programs
Sarah has two boys, a 2nd grader at NBS and a preschooler. This is her first year on the PTO board and she is looking forward to being the incoming VP of Special Programs. Sarah loves being a RC and her favorite PTO event is Gallery Night. She enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and continuously planning her family’s next adventure.
Jenelle Pierce, Secretary
She has a daughter in fifth grade at NBS. Her favorite PTO event is Staff Appreciation Week - It’s so fun seeing the staff enjoy all the yummy treats and surprises all week! You’ll probably see her walking around her neighborhood in the morning. She also enjoys spending time on the water. She loves to plant, but sadly the deer love her plants too!
Kathy Rugebregt, Co-Treasurer
Kathy is serving this year as incoming Co-Treasurer. She has twin girls who will be starting in third grade this upcoming school year. Kathy’s favorite PTO event is Field Day because her kids start talking about it in the fall and the excitement builds all year. It is so fun to see the kids so excited for such an activity-filled day! In her free time, She enjoys spending time in the garden, hanging out with friends and family on the water or planning her family’s next getaway adventure whenever she has free time.
Dipti Warner, Co-Treasurer
This is Dipti’s first year on the PTO board serving as co-Treasurer. She has a daughter in third grade. Dipti’s favorite PTO events are Gallery Night and the Holiday Boutique. It’s so fun to see the school hallways transformed into an art gallery and of course nothing beats the holidays as the most magical time of the year! Dipti enjoys a good coffee shop, hot yoga that’s not too hot, relaxing by the pool with a good book, or planning her next girls trip or family vacation.
Laura Canale, Room Coordinator Lead
Laura has 3 children, a 6th grader at Prairie and a 2nd and 3rd grader at NBS. She has been an RC for all of her children’s classes and is excited to have the RC coordinator position this year. Her favorite PTO events include the classroom parties, the adult socials and working on the hospitality and staff appreciation committees. She is also proud to be her daughter’s Girl Scout leader. In her spare time, you can find her driving her children to various activities, watching baseball/softball games or relaxing at home with her family.
